"Lavender Cloak"

"Lavender Cloak" 30x15 oil on canvas

Sensitivity is expressed in the hand and the soft look on the models face. The viewer is left to wonder about her, has she just come from the open gate or is she planning to pass through it? Until I write a story to go with this series that is up to you to decide.

"Letting Go"

"Letting Go" 24x20 oil on canvas

There are so many emotions that are attached to this painting. I had left a life that I had known for 27 years, this painting is a toast to the future and yet a token of sad tidings about leaving the past. She sits in patch of forget-me-nots and holds a bouquet of them in her hands.

"Camille III"

"Camille III" 24x12 oil on canvas

A reflective thought by Camille. She was as I have written a very introspective little girl. I believe she must be about around 23 years old now. I have lost track of her regretfully.

"Camille"

"Camille" 18x24 oil on canvas (7)

Camille was a lovely little girl to paint. She was a very sensitive little soul; you can really feel that in this painting. She loved wearing the big hat and the whole tea party. I set up bone china cups and saucers, and my silver coffee and tea set. Even the table cloth was vintage. It was a perfect day up in the Northern California mountains where I lived at the time.

"Camille II"

"Camille II" 18x24 oil on canvas

I painted three paintings at different angles and profiles of Camille. She was just so dear, I could not resist. She was a tad worried in this photo, she wanted to hold her cup just right. Notice her baby finger... so sweet. I picked roses from my garden and put them in a crystal vase I received as a gift form my daughter Rachael and her husband Travis. Sometimes it is the little things that makes life so grand.
