"Picking Hydrangeas I" 24x20 oil on canvas
available in giclee
The model I used for this painting is Tammy. She lives in the mountains in Northern California in a little mining town of 372 people. I used to live there as well. No gas station or general store, it is very isolated. Tammy is a dear and sweet person. I originally had pictures of her taken for my "Lost At Sea" series.

"Lost At Sea" is a sad story so I kept telling Tammy to 'look sad'. That was hard for her. She wanted to smile because the inner glow of her is hard to keep down.
